Every other photo business out there invariably bears the photographer's name. Yeah, it makes a lot of sense to do that. But in all honesty, I had no idea what I was embarking upon when I selected the name several year back, and now I am simply too attached to part ways. I wish I could claim that my genius came up with it, but alas, that is not the case. The love of my life thought it up, so perhaps that is why I cling to it. I've always been the sentimental type, so it's only fitting.

It all started when I discovered Audrey Hepburn. In my eyes, she was the epitome of style, class, and grace with a side of spunk and determination to keep things lively and interesting. Breakfast at Tiffany's was what hooked me. Be it self-consumed, I probably favor this Hepburn film the most due to the fact that she plays a character named Holly Golightly. To avoid being sued for copyright infringement, we decided to ax the "go" and just keep lightly. And just like that, my baby was born. As luck would have it, you cannot capture a photo without light and "lightly" conveys a sense of tenderness and warmth that I hope to capture in each shoot. And as they say, the rest is history.

Why Lightly?
